The Harry Potter Alliance (HPA) is an activist organization, which applies lessons from Harry Potter to our real world today. The most extensive campaign has been the 2007-2008 Darfur campaign. Through metaphoric criticism, I identify three main metaphors the HPA uses in their Darfur campaign and offer a view on the HPA's group identification and persuasive appeals using a combination of Burke's terministic screen and identification.
